artists fund: We have heard the term “starving artist,” but truth be told we know they are all not that. What many of us may not realize, though, is that often times it is a matter of a few dollars, or lack thereof, that can hold back these creative geniuses-in-the-making from realizing their vision. Art supplies are expensive. An artist may not have enough in the bank for his entry fee into an art fair because he spent his last few bucks on the supplies he needs to create the erotic
masterworks that we all get excited about.
This was in the mind of one such artist, Marcello Lupetti, who experienced many such struggles in his career. To honor Marcello upon his passing, his partner, Terry Turner, donated several of Marcello’s sculptures to the Foundation to be sold, with the monies going into a fund to help artists in need. The seed has been sown — now it just needs to grow. — Dan Babcock, ToFF administrator |
