Leslie/Lohman Gay Art Foundation
presents:
Luis Caballero
Exhibition and Art Sale

Saturday and Sunday, from 12 Noon to 6 PM.

The Leslie/Lohman Gallery, in association with Remy Toledo Art Projects, will be exhibiting artwork by Colombian artist Luis Caballero for one weekend only.

Luis Caballero was born in 1943 in Bogota, Colombia. He is considered one of the most prominent Latin American artists of the last century. His images evoke comparisons to Goya. His style is a combination of both Renaissance and Baroque Classical Spanish art with a more contemporary approach. His tortuous figures recall religious ecstasy, orgasmic pleasure and agonizing pain. He died of AIDS in Paris where he lived the last twenty-five years of his life.

Remy Toledo is a space for contemporary art projects. Instead of a traditional single location gallery space, New York becomes an exhibition ground for the gallery's experimental work encouraging its visitors to constantly explore, discover, and experience the city itself as a gallery. Our show rooms are by appointment only and are located at 50 East 72nd St., New York, NY 10021 and also at 131 West 24th st., 5th Fl. Tel: 212-242-7552.
