"This image is certainly based on tarot card imagery, everything
the swords indicate is true. Courage, delicate and precarious balance
in adversity. Differences resolved, relief, restoration of peace,
truce, a weight off the mind."
"A fascination for the physiological aspect of
art pushes me in the direction of the figure and the affect on viewers.
The figure to me represents a look inside the mind. Stylistically
combining that with imagery of landscape, or abstract notions, I
create the scenes and stories. Ideas run strong in my works but
color is often the voice. I strive to create a sense of mystery
and surrealism.
"My goal is to create honestly and ask others
to interpret for them selves the questions that lie in the paintings/drawings.
These questions are different for everyone and that is what makes
each person look at a piece of art differently. Paintings and drawings
can be maps if you let them be.
"Symbols taken from life seem to have profound meaning for
everyone as they are seen and used everyday. They're symbolism is
tied to ones personal life and have endless possibility's in meaning."
