Tom of Finland tours to Sweden after highly successful year in his home region of Turku, Finland.
The one-of-a-kind retrospective celebrating Tom of Finland is touring to Stockholm beginning June 27. The exhibit features 50 rare and iconic drawings from 1928 to 1990. Pieces include early sketches and later works, featuring pieces from Tom of Finland Foundation’s Permanent Collection in Los Angeles.
"In Paris 2006 Rachel Laurent, a contemporary French photographer visited an exhibition of Tom’s where I had the pleasure of meeting her. As she entered the gallery, her appearance stylish and sophisticated, her eyes glistened and a wide smile came over her face that was delightful to observe. Her excitement and pleasure of being there was very apparent. I approached and asked why she was so enthralled.
