Kick back and enjoy an informal social with Durk Dehner,
President and Cofounder of the Tom of Finland Foundation.

Not only was Durk one of Tom's most popular models (back-in-the-day), but Durk felt that Tom could — and should — turn his artwork into more than a part-time hobby. The Tom of Finland Company was born, allowing Tom to devote more time to what he loved most: drawing.

The Foundation was later created to archive Tom's vast output and preserve it for future generations. Later, the Foundation expanded its mission to include other gay artists, and eventually all of erotic art: gay, straight, lesbian, transgender and transexual.

Archiving the past isn't enough. Also important, is encouraging current and next-generation artists. Today the Foundation's mission can be condensed into a few simple, but powerful, words:

To Protect, Preserve, and Promote the Erotic Arts.
