Simon Castets — Director of the Swiss Institute, New York,
and cofounder of 89plus — selected a number of his favorites from
the exhibition: Daniel Buren, Kaspar Muller, Sarah Ortmeye, Andy Warhol,
Gary Kuehn, Christian Holstad and Tom of Finland. Here's what he had
to say about Tom:
"These works are starting to be shown more and more
in the art context, a long deserved recognition for someone whose visual
vocabulary has participated so crucially in the representation of the
male body."
