It was my original plan to pay off my house, where the Foundation
has its headquarters and where Tom lived for his last decade, and leave
it to the Foundation free and clear.
Unfortunately, because of my own personal and business issues,
that has not yet been able to happen. The Foundation’s Board has realized
that if we want to make sure the Foundation has this property as its
own in the future, we must attempt a different strategy.
The house Tom called home should continue to welcome erotic art lovers for many years to come I would like to turn the property over to the Foundation for the amount of the mortgage, which is $370,000. In order for this to happen, we need to raise the funds. Thus, this is the official announcement of our plan to commence a campaign for this specific purpose. We are opening a savings account, which will be named TOM OF FINLAND FOUNDATION HOUSE FUND, which can be abbreviated to TOFF HOUSE FUND. If you have contributed to the Foundation’s Museum Fund in the past, that money will be transferred into this new account.
It is our immediate goal now to save the Foundation House. There may be one person out there that could make this happen for us, and if so, we would very much like to hear from you. In the next newsletter, we will elaborate on how you can become a donor to a specific area of the property, with a plaque to honor your contribution. Anyone who can assist us with this vital project on any level is asked to report for duty, ASAP! |
